Cadets from 620 (Duffield) Squadron mark remembrance day.

Over remembrance day this year cadets from 620 (Duffield) Squadron attended for separate events in memory of people who have lost their lives in service of their country. As normal cadets from the squadron marched through Duffield and attended a service in the local church. Later in the day along with a squadron from a neighbouring wing, cadets from 620 marched through Mugginton and attended the service of remembrance there.

Flt Lt Austen Colledge, OC 620 Sqn, stated, “I'm extremely proud of the cadets, they always turn out very smart on parade and do the squadron and community a great service. I was especially pleased to see so many cadets on parade despite the awful weather this year”.

Corporal Alex Smith and Cadet Nadeem Gulnawaz also marked the occasion in a very special way. The Derby County vs Leeds game was played at Pride Park stadium, and before the game both accompanied Squadron Leader Motteshead to lay the wreath of poppies on the centre spot, shown in the picture. A few days later, on the 11 day of the 11 month, Corporal Smith and Cadet Gulnawaz also laid the wreath at the Derby County vs Nottingham Forest game again at Pride Park Stadium.
